Pamper Music, one of Music City’s storied early publishing companies, had its offices not on Music Row but about 15 miles north in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. Behind Pamper was a clapboard garage, half of which was used as a writer’s room. The great Willie Nelson, had his inspiration here for “Hello, Walls,” – which became Nelson’s first big cut, a nine-week number one, and an eventual addition to the Grammy Hall of Fame.
